Best Portable Internet Radio
Just Received my Sangean internet Radio and I am quite impressed best portable internet radio, so far, set up was fairly simple.
It`s quite compact 9″x 5″ inches rechargeable portable Internet radio, nice clear facia comprising of world radio and media streaming device which is fully portable, what you get with the WFR-28 is a listening ability of 16,000+ radio stations from jazz to pop to blues to classical and everything in-between plus 35,000 podcasts including FM Radio stations with RDS (Radio Data System)
Playing around with the sound the built- in Digital EQ Settings from Jazz to Pop, Rock, classic, Movie, News, and Separate Bass and Treble control, I like the jazz mode with a touch more bass.
From a relatively small unit the sound is quite prominent, going up to 32 on the dial with not much distortion?
I bought it especially for internet radio, I like Blues, and Jazz and urban soul funk, there are some fantastic stations, like Solar UK, True Blues US, Bar rocking Blues, US, BBC, UK, Jazz FM UK.
You have a telescopic aerial for FM plus you can stream your favorite channels on Spotify
You can Connect your external devices like iPhone, Android, iPod, MP3, CD player to auxiliary, line out to connect to your stereo system and headphone jack too.
If you want to use it as a bedroom radio you can wake up to your favorite internet stations or FM stations a great choice also with a buzzer alarm with a gradual feature to wake you up and raises the alarm more gently than alarm clock that blows your head off!
The iSangean remote control app is for Sangean internet radios and media streamers for Android, iPhone, iPod touch. The Now Playing screen provides radio station or media information with direct control of the radio volume., you can get it from iTunes, Google play store and app store
If you never had an Internet radio before It can take a few seconds to fire up also when you change channels, don`t be to inpatient when changing stations and programming in the channels otherwise, you might put in the wrong station in the wrong number ok. And sometimes if you have a slow connection it can be a bit delayed with the tuning or setup, but overall it should be a breeze.
You get a cd with instructions and a booklet too which is nice.
You can use batteries for portable use if you wish but all the Internet Radios I have had I just used for the mains in different rooms, like bedroom, kitchen, lounge, garage etc.
For the price it`s a very good buy, feels sturdy, was easy to set up, decent sound and more stations than you will ever need, with a great choice.
